Texas police are looking for a guy named Dawayland Hurst who is suspected of killing his half-brother’s killer’s ex-girlfriend in a brutal way. When Seabrook Police arrived at the scene of a call on October 4, they found 24-year-old MaryJayne Collins not breathing in her home. At first, it was said that someone had shot her, but later it was found that she had been stabbed to death.
Law and Crime says that there were two young children in the house, but they were not hurt. For January 2020, the police said that Hurst’s half-brother Diajwan Triplett had been killed in Texas City. Michael King, 25, was found guilty of killing him.
Detectives have found a link between Hurst and Collins, who used to date King and had a child with him. They also found out that Hurst and Collins allegedly started dating in June. The relationship quickly turned violent, and Collins showed her friends and family proof of her injuries.
There was a story that King brought a phone from prison and called Collins on FaceTime the day of the murder. Hurst is said to have teased King by hitting King’s child in the face after taking the call instead. Collins was last heard saying, “No, baby, get away from him.” When King’s mother heard about the scary FaceTime call, she asked people on Facebook to check on Collins.
Around 11 a.m., Hurst was seen leaving the house and going a different way to escape being seen.
Friends who were worried called the police to do a check on her wellness , which is how her body was found. An arrest warrant has been issued for Hurst because detectives think he did what he did to get revenge for the death of his brother.
