Your payment is on its way if you live in New Jersey, pay taxes there, and are qualified for the ANCHOR benefit. Some people who were supposed to get the money have already gotten it.
New Jersey residents who own or rent a home as their main residence can get important property tax breaks through the ANCHOR program. Residents must make less than a certain amount of money to apply.
New Jersey ANCHOR Payments
The first funds were sent out on October 1, 2024, in New Jersey. Participants in the first round were those who passed the requirements spelled out in their ANCHOR Benefit confirmation letter.
“We will start giving out ANCHOR benefits in early October,” said the NJ Department of Taxation. On a daily basis, payments will be made.
- Most applicants can expect to receive their payments approximately 90 days after their application is processed.
- If additional information is required to complete the application, this timeline may be extended.
Residents who want to know where their payment is at can easily do so online. To get information, all you need is your Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and your ZIP code. Go to https://www.nj.gov/treasury/taxation/anchor/ to see their official website.
