COLA increase 2025 possible amounts for SSI and SSDI

The final 2025 COLA number will determine how much your Supplemental Security Income or Social Security Disability Insurance payment is. The next cost of living increase could be less than 3% but more than 2%, so you can get a sense of what it might be like.

Your benefits might go up by 2.5% if the new prediction from the Senior Citizens League is the same as the one from last year. That means you will get $966 if you are eligible for the biggest SSI payment for people. If the cost of living went up by 2.5%, married couples who are eligible could get up to $1,450.

The average salary for people on SSDI is $1,539 a month, so they could get about $1,577. It is possible for SSDI payouts to go up. So, if you get $2,000, your payment might be $2,050 after the raise.
