Lucky for Life lottery tickets worth $25,000 a year that are sold in a row win prizes

As the week began, two Lucky for Life tickets worth $25,000 a year for the winner’s whole life were sold in quick succession. This was a crazy start for people who play the Michigan Lottery game. To win the prize, the winners had to match all five white numbers that were drawn on Sunday and Monday nights.

It takes one year from the date of the drawing for the winners to claim their prizes. If they win, the winners can choose to get the money all at once or in installments of $25,000. This can happen for 20 years or for the rest of their lives, whichever comes first.

People bought the winning ticket at the Sunshine Liquor Shop on September 22. That store is at 27342 Joy Road in Redford. That night, the white numbers that were drawn were 5, 13, 27, 35, and 48.

The white numbers picked the next night were 01-21-24-27-48. It was bought at Ernie’s Beer and Wine, which is in Clio, about 15 miles north of Flint, at 13167 North Saginaw Road.

The winner on Monday night is the 12th person to win a $25,000-a-year Lucky for Life prize this year.

This is the last time someone from Michigan won a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot. In June 2024, the Breakfast Club lottery club won a $842 million jackpot. The friends want to buy a house in Florida and take trips with the money.

Even though they were lucky winners, players should check their tickets right away because in 2023, a Mega Millions winner worth $1 million that was sold in Southfield was never claimed. The money went to the state’s School Aid Fund instead.
