Pennsylvania calls back a popular drink that poses a life-threatening health risk

On Saturday, September 20, HP Hood LLC recalled “five SKUs of 96 oz containers of LACTAID Milk” because of allergic reactions linked to a possible unknown contaminant.

The United States Food and Drug Administration says that the above goods “may contain trace amounts of almond,” which is not something that was listed on the labels. A “serious or life-threatening allergic reaction” is possible for people who are allergic to almonds, but no illnesses have been recorded.

People can find the recalled goods by going to fda.gov and looking for code: 51-4109 P2 and the list of Best By Dates. Concerning goods were shipped to 27 states between September 9th and September 18th and sold in 27 states. This included stores and sellers in Pennsylvania.

“Hood Consumer Affairs at 800-242-2423 Monday through Friday from 9 AM ET to 5 PM ET” is the number to call if you have questions about the recalled goods.

People who bought a 96-ounce bottle of recalled LACTAID Milk can return it to the store where they bought it and get their money back in full.
