October payment schedule for Social Security
If you already got your September Social Security check, you should pay close attention to when you get paid again in October. This is how you can set up your regular budget.
People in the United States who get SSI (Supplemental Security Income) will get paid on October 1. A retiree can get a check or direct deposit 48 hours after getting SSI benefits if they got benefits before May 1997 or if they are getting SSI benefits along with their retirement benefits.
That’s why October 3 will be a very important day for a lot of seniors. on October 9, 16, and 23. People who are not on SSI and did not get payouts before May 1997 can get money from SSA.
Whether you get your money early in the month or not will depend on your birthday. Birthdays between 1 and 10, 11 to 20, or 21 to 31; and paydays on the 9th, 16th, and 23rd.
