One car was on its side on the road in Southern Pines after an accident. No major injuries were reported.
A Toyota Sequoia and a Telsa crashed at the corner of N. Bennett Street and W. Rhode Island Ave. on Saturday afternoon.
The driver of the Tesla and the driver and two passengers of the Toyota were not taken to the hospital. Instead, EMS checked on everyone at the scene.
The crossing was closed until the cars were moved out of the way. One of the cars was taken away by Rockwell Towing.
Southern Pines police are looking into what caused the crash and haven’t said how it happened.
