The family of D.H. Griffin Sr., the company's founder and resident of Greensboro, has confirmed his passing

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Triad man has died. He started a business that grew into a big ones.

A family member told FOX8 that the father of D.H. Griffin Companies, David H. “D.H.” Griffin Sr., died on Saturday night.

Griffin and Clifton D. Fields started D.H. Griffin in Greensboro in 1959. Their main job is to tear down industrial buildings, but they also do construction, contracting, and clean up after disasters.

David Griffin Jr., D.H. Griffin’s son, is in charge of D.H. Griffin Companies right now.
