Someone has been charged with setting fires in Rockingham County. Around 8 p.m. on August 23, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office was called to 191 Trantham Rd. in Reidsville because of a fire. There had been an incident there earlier that day.
Investigators from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Rockingham County Fire Marshal’s Office and Safe Labs Forensic Laboratory Services to find that the fire was intentionally set.
After the investigation was over, It was charged that Jonas Allen Strickland, 42, of 191 Trantham Rd. set the fire in the second degree. He was caught and taken to the Rockingham County Detention Facility without a bond.
