People who are retired but don’t apply for Social Security benefits on September 3 may start getting their money on September 11. People who got benefits after April 30, 1997 and are not getting SSI will be able to do this.

September 11 – Social Security payday
Paychecks for the next round of Wednesday payments will start coming from the government on September 11, 2024. They will get money in their bank accounts if they meet the requirements and don’t qualify for the September 3 payment.
In fact, you had to be born before September 11 to get money on that day. The checks will be sent to people born after October 10th but before October 21st.
That’s on September 18. On September 25, the last payment for retirement will be sent. This is for people whose birthdays are between January 21 and December 31. It doesn’t really matter what month or year you were born.

The maximum payment amounts range from $2,710 through $4,873.

Do not forget that a Social Security check or direct payment this big is very rare for most people who get it. For these people to get benefits, they had to work for 35 years, pay enough taxes to SSA, and earn enough to base their benefits on.
