Dominion Energy to host Public Meetings for Pipeline Project

Public meetings for the pipeline project will be held by Dominion Energy.

WHAT: Dominion Energy is going to build a 45-mile natural gas pipeline through Rockingham, Caswell, and Person counties to meet government rules that say the system needs to be updated and to meet the growing demand for natural gas. One of these improvements is building a brand-new, high-tech compressor station in Ruffin.

The T15 Reliability Project will be built mostly along existing Dominion Energy right-of-ways so that the neighborhood will be affected as little as possible. Building could start as early as the third quarter of 2025.

There will be a tele-town hall and two drop-in talks where people can learn more about the project. There will be experts on hand to share information and answer questions.

When: Tuesday, August 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., Oakhaven Properties, 1434 Dibrell Road, Pelham, will have open houses. Wednesday, August 21, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Yanceyville Museum of Art (Municipal Services Building), 158 East Church Street, Yanceyville.
