HORRY COUNTY, S.C. :- A 21-year-old woman is facing almost a dozen counts after allegedly ramming another person’s vehicle with her own and warning a uniformed officer, “I’m going to run you over with my car” and “beat you up until you die,” according to police records obtained by News13.
Taylor Marie Rowell of Galivants Ferry is facing a number of accusations, including assaulting a police officer serving process, malicious injury to personal property worth more than $2,000 but less than $10,000, and two counts of endangering the life of a public official.
She was put into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Christmas Eve and released on Thursday.
According to an incident report, Horry County police responded Monday night to a residence off Gary Road in the Conway area after a suspect purposely hit a parked vehicle.
While on the way, authorities discovered that Rowell had crashed her car in a ditch along the road. They had prior knowledge of Rowell and were aware that her driver’s license had been suspended.
Officers discovered Rowell standing by her car in the ditch and arrested her, according to the police report. She apparently tried to resist, kicking one of the officers in the groin.
According to the complaint, two officers visited with the victims, who claimed Rowell was inside their house causing difficulties with her boyfriend and attempting to harm him. The other victim stated that he became involved in the situation and attempted to separate Rowell and her partner when Rowell bit him in the chest.
After that, Rowell allegedly got into her car and drove into the side of one of the victims’ parked cars before shifting into reverse and driving at high speed into the second victim’s car, according to the report. Rowell drove down the road after hitting both vehicles before colliding with a ditch.
The officers returned to conduct a DUI test on Rowell when she allegedly threatened to run over one of them with a car, according to the report.
