SLED charges two in connection with DMV vehicle fraud.

Lexington County, South Carolina (WACH) — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged two people with automobile fraud in Lexington County.

Jack Randolph Ward Jr., 43, is charged with 22 charges of forgery.

Ward allegedly committed forgery in excess of $10,000 by providing an altered Certificate of Origin to the SCDMV on December 10 for a vehicle identification number that did not exist.

SLED also charged Denisse Clavijo, 25, with Criminal Conspiracy in a conspiracy with Ward to utilize her position at the SCDMV to knowingly submit a bogus title application in exchange for money from Ward Jr.

Ward Jr. and Clavijo have been arrested at the Lexington County Detention Center.
