Man, Woman were killed in a crash on Interstate 240 in southwest Oklahoma City are Identified

A man and a woman were killed in an overnight crash in southwest Oklahoma City, according to investigators.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that it occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on I-240 between Western and Penn.

Authorities identified the victims as 41-year-old Quaylana D. Harris and 37-year-old Casey J. Townsend.

According to troopers, Harris was driving and Townsend was a passenger as they traveled west on I-240 near South Western Avenue.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the road to the right onto the westbound I-240 Service Road before colliding with a tree.

Harris was stuck for 90 minutes, while Townsend was ejected from the truck. The OHP reported that both perished at the spot.

Troopers report that seatbelts were not in use. The cause of the crash and the driver’s condition are currently under investigation.
