That’s the name of the program that helps disabled American workers and their families who can’t work because of their disability: SSDI. People who applied, were approved, and are still eligible will get their next payment in December.

SSDI payment on December 3, after Cyber Monday
That payment will be for you on December 3 if you got Social Security Disability Insurance before May 1997. Don’t worry if you started getting disability benefits later; there is still a way for you to get this monthly payment.
Indeed, if you are already getting Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance, you will also be able to get SSDI on December 3, 2024.
This means that people who get both SSI and SSDI will get a payment for SSI on December 3 and an SSDI check or direct deposit on December 31, 2024. This is the last SSI payment for 2025. It will be sent early in January and includes the 2025 COLA increase.
SSDI maximum amounts after Cyber Monday
If you’ve already spent all your money on recent events like Cyber Monday, Black Friday, or Thanksgiving, you might be able to get up to $3,822.
To get this big Social Security Disability Insurance payment, you had to file when you were old enough, earn the maximum amount of money that is taxed for 35 years, and work all of those years. Without a doubt, you paid taxes on your wages while you worked.
On December 3, 2024, people who get SSDI can get up to $1,542 on average. Besides these, if you got benefits after April 30, 1997, you might also get:
- Disability Insurance benefits due on December 11: birthday from 1-10
- Disability Insurance benefits due on December 18: born from 11-20
- Disability Insurance benefits due on December 24: birth date from 21-31
