Donald Trump announced on Saturday that Kash Patel would be the director of the FBI, prompting criticism.
“I am pleased to announce that Kashyap ‘Kash’ Patel will become the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people,” the president-elect wrote over the weekend on Truth Social.
He also said, “He was a strong supporter of truth, accountability, and the Constitution and was a key figure in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.”
