The Social Security Administration recently announced that beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will be entitled to receive two SSI checks in November. The payment plan may change month to month depending on when the month begins.

When will the SSA deliver the next SSI checks for beneficiaries in the US?

As the end of the year approaches, many recipients may be wondering when they will receive their next SSI payments to assist them handle their daily living expenses. As you can see, this year has yet to provide three SSI checks to low-income Americans. The SSI program usually pays out on the first of the month, unless it is a weekend or a federal holiday. For example, claimants will receive two SSI payments in November because December 1st occurs on a weekend.

The similar situation will occur at the end of December, as January 1st is a holiday. As a result, during the last two months of the year, Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries will receive three SSI checks.

What are the requirements to qualify for SSI checks?

Qualifying for the SSI program may not be an easy effort for candidates, as the Social Security Administration has severe standards for income, assets, and resources that must be met. These requirements include establishing that you do not earn more than $1,971 per month and that you are a senior over the age of 65, disabled, or a child who is struggling financially.

To qualify for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, however, you must also establish that your combined resources are less than $2,000 for individuals and $3,000 for couples.

Keep in mind, however, that to be eligible for these benefits, those aged 64 and younger must have a handicap that prevents them from working for a year or longer, will result in death, or significantly limits daily activities. Once you are authorized for SSI payments, the Social Security Administration will deliver varying payment amounts depending on your filing category, as outlined here:
