If you started getting retirement or SSDI benefits before May 1997, your payment date is November 1. You might also be eligible if you are getting Supplemental Security Income while getting Social Security.

  • Social Security on November 1, those who usually receive their payment on the 3rd (SSDI and retirement)
  • Social Security on November 13: born from 1-10
  • Retirement or SSDI on November 20: birthday from 11-20
  • Retirement or SSDI on November 27: birthday from 21-31

When it comes to payments, the average amount that seniors can get is $1,920. People who get SSDI can get income of about $1,539 a month. People who get SSI can get an average of $698. People who retired after making a lot of money for 35 years in jobs that were covered by SSA will get the biggest benefit payment. In fact, they could get as much as $4,873.
