New Year's newborns Northeast Wisconsin hospitals welcome their first babies of 2025

Several Northeast Wisconsin families are enjoying not just the new year, but also the beginning of a new life.

Hospitals across the region are welcoming the first babies of 2025.

Emery arrived at 12:23 a.m. at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, weighing 7 pounds and 6 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. She is Whitney and Matt’s daughter, and Knox’s younger sister.

“Emery was supposed to be born on December 31st, but she arrived a little late,” explained Whitney, who works in the emergency room at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital.

I love how my New Year’s baby will always have a party to go to on her special day! Plus, how many people can say they were one of the first to be born in their community on New Year’s Day!

Teddy was delivered at 1:35 a.m. to ecstatic parents Patrick and Carly at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah in the Fox Valley. Teddy joins his two elder siblings, Oscar and Zoey.

Angel, Bellin’s first New Year’s baby, is the daughter of Sherry and Javier. She waited till 4:17 a.m. to come.

At Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, the first New Year’s baby was Jamison, delivered to Megan and Jake at 1:29 p.m. He weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Generation Alpha, which is believed to have begun in the early 2010s, came to an end in 2024. Babies born on or after January 1, 2025 are now members of Generation Beta.
