Minnesota hospitals are announcing the state’s newest residents, newborns born just after the clock struck midnight and welcomed the new year.
Vang Pao Xiong and See Vang, new parents, welcomed their baby boy at 3:33 a.m. at M Health Fairview St. Johns Hospital. Their newest family member weighs 7 pounds, 1.9 ounces, and is 20 inches long.
The boy doesn’t yet have a name.
Oaklynn Mattison, born shortly after Baby Vang, was 21 inches long and weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce.
Blaine’s most recent inhabitant was born at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital at 4:56 a.m. Oaklynn joins her two other siblings, who are four and two years old.
Later that morning, at 7:10 a.m., M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2025.
Baby Vincent of Little Canada joined his parents Madalyn and Jacob as the family’s tiniest member, weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 18.5 inches long.
