Walmart has voluntarily recalled items in recent weeks, affecting hundreds of stores in 20 states nationwide.

Braga Newsweek says that Frito-Lays recalled fresh broccoli and chips in December.

The broccoli was recalled owing to Listeria monocytogenes. This can result in possibly fatal food poisoning.

Symptoms of Listeria include fever, aches, vomiting, and diarrhea. It can be extremely harmful for expectant mothers and newborns.

The Listeria was detected during testing by the Texas Health and Human Services.
