A North Carolina mother was hospitalized after mistaking nail glue for eyedrops and gluing her eyelids shut.
The incident occurred in December in Concord, a suburb of Charlotte.
Her daughter shared a video of their mother in the hospital, which went viral.
The daughter remains optimistic, believing that the attention may generate funds to assist her mother, who is also a foster parent.
“Hi, if you’re here, you must have seen my mother’s viral video. “She has glued her eye shut,” Ria Faggart said on a GoFundMe website.
“Doctors are saying it will take 5-7 weeks before her eye opens, and then she will need to have it examined for damage,” she informed me. “We appreciate all of your prayers and concerns. She will be out of work, and she is a foster mother, so she does not qualify for disability.”
