Is the First Lady truly kicking a former presidential candidate while she is down? There has been a lot of discussion online about whether President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, were fully supportive of Kamala Harris’ presidential nomination.
As you probably already know (you would have to be living under a rock not to be aware), Biden had planned to run for re-election.
However, he dropped out of the presidential race following a questionable debate performance, and the Democratic Party chose his Vice President, Kamala Harris, as its presidential nominee.
To summarise, the Democrats’ late-game substitution did not go as planned. Former President Donald J. Trump is set to return to the White House in January following a landslide victory, and Harris will not trade her vice president title for president.
Some online users have pointed out that the Bidens do not appear to be particularly upset about this. During his visit to the White House after winning the election, President-elect Donald Trump and Joe Biden were spotted smiling in the Oval Office.
Many have linked that happy meeting to other strange moments shared between Kamala and the Bidens since she lost the 2024 Presidential Election, leading them to conclude that the Bidens may (or may not) have been secretly rooting for Donald Trump.
That sounds crazy, does not it? I do not want to put on my tin foil cap and confirm it, but Jill Biden’s latest statement could add to the pile of potential evidence.
While addressing the media at the White House, the First Lady appeared to choose and emphasise a word that was critical to the Kamala Harris campaign’s branding: joy. Obviously, Harris does not own the word, but as evidenced by this August post, it was used frequently while she was running.
“I hope that when you leave here today, you feel a sense of peace and light. I do not know, a small sense of joy. Because I believe we all need to feel joy during this season.
Only during this time.” As she finished her remarks, the audience burst into laughter. They appeared to understand what Jill Biden was doing, or implied it by using the word joy. The First Lady did her best to dismiss the laughter, but it was not very convincing.
Just to avoid any potential controversy. However, the word joy is quite popular around this time of year (spread the joy, joy to the world, etc.), so it could have simply been a coincidence that Jill Biden used it during her time with the media. I am not sure…did Jill vote for Trump?
