Indiana – In a frightening event in Indiana, a 27-year-old man named D. Moles has been accused with many charges for allegedly attempting to murder his mother with food wrap and abusing her following a financial disagreement. Moles, who was just freed on bond following a previous arrest, is now facing serious accusations including attempted murder, aggravated violence, domestic battery, and strangling.
On the evening of November 29, Moles and his mother battled over $1,000, and he accused her of stealing from his CashApp account.
According to police reports, the altercation swiftly turned violent. Moles, who had been staying with his mother for about two weeks after his release from jail, allegedly attacked her from behind while she was sitting at her computer desk.
Court filings describe a terrifying incident in which Moles allegedly used his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expertise to abuse his mother by placing her in a headlock, dragging her onto a bed, and repeatedly hitting her in the head. In a particularly frightening incident, he attempted to suffocate her with plastic food wrap, covering her nose and mouth and preventing her from breathing.
The victim was discovered by police enforcement in a serious condition, with symptoms of a suspected skull fracture among other injuries. She was promptly taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. Police apprehended Moles shortly after the event, near a neighbourhood business from which he had fled on foot.
During his detention, Moles admitted to the assault, stating authorities he wanted to “convince her that he was not a little boy and that she couldn’t push him around.” He admitted to plotting the assault after confirming that they were alone in the house.
Despite his initial intention to confront his mother about the suspected theft, the incident spiralled out of control, resulting in serious consequences.
Moles is now being held in the county jail under a $500,000 cash bond. If convicted, he could face a sentence ranging from 10 to 30 years in jail, reflecting the gravity of his alleged actions. His acts not only caused terrible bodily harm to his mother, but also left lasting psychological scars.
