The last thing you want to see is a cherished store or restaurant about to make significant cuts again.
Especially when it’s one of the most well-known and renowned BBQ chains not only in New Jersey, but across the nation!
And by popular, I mean that it’s arguably one of the largest BBQ franchises in the country, with approximately 500 sites nationally.
Eight of the places are in New Jersey, and I’m scared that they’ll be on Jeopardy.
Dickies BBQ has announced that it is closing 30 more locations nationwide.
Dickies BBQ was my first experience to Jersey BBQ when we came here from Central Pennsylvania in early 2022.
Gary and his crew at Whiting Dickies are fantastic, and we’ve been regulars since they first opened a few years ago.
I hope this doesn’t apply to them, but it appears that the Dickies headquarters in Dallas, Texas, has declared that they would be closing more shops.
According to Parade Dickes, BBQ Pit has been gradually closing stores over the last three months and has announced an additional 30 closures.
Back in the fall, the chain announced that it will close 100 outlets countrywide, and it appears like the cuts will continue.
It was reported that additional 30 Dickies BBQ sites around the country will close in the near future.
The Dickies in Sewell shuttered last year after only one year in operation; more on that here.
That happened in 2023, and I’m praying it’s the only Dickies loss Jersey will see.
We adore our meals, especially our barbecue!
