The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reported that seven people were shot in Macon early Thursday morning, one of them died.
Deputies responded to the incident in the 1000 block of Triple Hill Drive at 1 a.m. They discovered three victims with gunshot wounds and transported them to Atrium Health Navicent, where 34-year-old Jawasiki Guyton died.
Officials discovered that three other victims were driven to the same hospital in personal vehicles, while another was sent to Piedmont Macon Medical Center. An 18-year-old guy is in “critical but stable” condition, while the remaining five injured are expected to recover.
According to police, an argument erupted, and someone got out a gun and began shooting.
According to investigators, the house is known as the “shot house” or “neighborhood plug,” and it was used to sell illegal alcohol.
According to the sheriff’s office, the first killing in Bibb County in 2024 occurred at a residence.
