An Indiana guy went outdoors to grab goods and was stunned to find two abducted toddlers in a roadside ditch.

Robert Deane discovered the two young girls, ages four and five months, bundled in blankets in their car seats just outside his Indianapolis home, according to CBS4.

“One of them screamed, so I grabbed the car seats and took them inside. “We got them warmed up and called 911,” he told the publication.

According to police, the girls were inside a stolen vehicle when Deane spotted them on Monday morning.

The IMPD informed The Independent on Tuesday that the inquiry is still ongoing and that no further information would be released at this time.

In a CBS4 broadcast, IMPD Sergeant William Young stated, “We will continue to gather information as to why those two infants were left inside that vehicle.”

“Our main priority as you know was to be able to find those two infants.”

The horrific discovery occurred while the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was investigating a stolen 2013 Hyundai Sonata with two children in the rear, according to an appeal on X.

The message read: “IMPD is asking the community for assistance in locating the following vehicle, which was stolen with a 4-month-old and a 5-month-old child in the back.”

“The plate number of the car is 364CMU. If you see this vehicle, contact 911 right away.

A manhunt is still underway for the kidnapper who fled in the stolen vehicle, and the police department confirmed on Monday evening that the stolen car had been located.
