An eight-month-old baby burned to death after parents allegedly threw her into scorching bath water.

Jannah Abughazaleh was found unresponsive with severe burns, with her parents, Hussein Abughazaleh and Kristina Siedlecki, claiming the injuries were caused by a bath she had taken days before.

During the investigation, both parents allegedly admitted to watching their child’s burns deteriorate over several days while leaving her in pain and refusing to seek medical attention.

Authorities say that both parents have been arrested on murder charges after Jannah died from her injuries a few days after the alleged incident.

A 22-year-old woman from Texas named Yanira Prado was charged with capital murder after a medical examiner found that the baby that was found dead in her toilet was alive when it was born.

Police say that Prado “knowingly and wilfully” drowned the baby, but Prado says she “did not know” that she was pregnant. Based on a $1 million bail, Prado is being held at the Ector County Law Enforcement Centre on charges of capital murder, tampering with evidence, and an immigration charge.

A press release from the Odessa Police Department says that the child was found on October 9 after police were called to the woman’s home.

Investigators asked for an autopsy, and Prado was then taken to the nearby Medical Centre Hospital to be checked out.

An autopsy of the baby showed that it was born alive “but suffocated on amniotic fluid, other fluids, and strange fibres.” That is when the police gave her a Death Warrant.

In their words, Prado was arrested “without incident” last Friday.

The shocking turn of events was that Prado told Odessa police she did not know she was pregnant, according to the Odessa American. According to the reports, Prado told the police that she did not know she was pregnant and that she thought she was just going to the toilet when she gave birth.

She said that after seeing the baby, she used nail clippers to cut the umbilical cord. She also said that she got dizzy and could not get up from the toilet at one point. He also said the baby did not cry or make any noise.

The report says that Prado texted someone else in the house for help in a panic instead of calling for help right away. In a house where no one knew Prado was pregnant, someone even asked her about it because there were not any feminine products in the trash, the report said.
