A Suspect in the Salisbury Shooting Has Been Arrested

SALISBURY, MD :- The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a November shooting that left one victim critically injured.

On November 16, police were summoned to Curlew Road after receiving allegations of a shooting. Police discovered a woman with several gunshot wounds and transported her to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition despite her life-threatening injuries.

Police identified 32-year-old Salisbury resident Dequan Maurice Bratten as a suspect in the shooting and requested for the public’s assistance in locating him.

On December 26, police said that their investigation had brought them to a property on Pine Knoll Drive in Princess Anne. Bratten was detained after being discovered during a home search. Qualesha Nyshae Lewis, 31, of Princess Anne, was also detained and charged with harboring a felon or fugitive.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and detectives are looking for additional individuals who may have assisted Bratten after the incident. Anyone with knowledge is asked to contact the police.
