A 12-year-old girl who had been reported missing on Christmas Day has been recovered and is safe, according to the Des Moines Police Department.
According to a DMPD release, the girl was in good health and had been reunited with her family.
She was reported missing from 27th Street and Allison Avenue on the city’s northwest side, where she was last seen with pals.
DMPD thanked everyone who helped find the girl.
