A compilation of the annual wages of the more than 49,000 full-time employees working for the state government of North Carolina has been produced by the Charlotte Business Journal.
They are paid more than $47,000 annually, and more than 250 of those individuals earn at least $200,000 during the course of their employment.
There are 49,498 full-time employees in the state, and the typical pay for all of them is $65,737. This includes everything from transportation engineers to investment managers to psychiatrists.
It is estimated that 257 of the state’s full-time employees earn more than $200,000, while slightly more than 6,700 earn more than $100,000.
It is estimated that the top 100 highest-paid full-time employees in the state earn an average compensation of approximately $285,000.
In case you were wondering, the pay of Governor Roy Cooper is $203,073, which places him at position 238 on the list overall. Current contenders for governor, Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson and Attorney General Josh Stein, each make a yearly salary of $168,384 in their respective positions.
