In the terrible flood in North Carolina, two grandparents and their grandson died. The grandparents are waiting for help on the roof in the picture. Floodwaters are all around the house on all sides.
A person on social media was asked to come save them by their daughter, Jessica Drye Turner. During the storm, she was in Texas. But help didn’t get there in time. The grandparents, their daughter Megan, and their grandson Micah were all swept away when the house fell apart.
“They called 911, but they’re not the only ones who need help.” “This really is a time when faith is all you have,” Turner wrote on Friday.
She said that her sister Megan lived even though she got stuck in some debris. The grandparents and Megan’s son, on the other hand, were washed away and died.
“I cannot convey in words the sorrow, heartbreak and devastation my sisters and I are going through nor imagine the pain before us,” she wrote in a letter. “Please lift my sister who lost her son up in prayers and my other sister and myself as we come together to somehow comfort her and get through each moment banded together.”
Grandparents Washed Away
In order to visit her sister, Jessica disregarded convention and cautions with her other sister, Heather. “If we had listened instead of [being] willing to do anything to get there, Megan would still be in one of the loneliest situations ever,” she stated in her letter.
