For the millions of retirees who got money from Social Security on October 3 and October 9, their checks are already over. Plus, Black Friday is coming up soon. In fact, it will happen on November 29, 2024, Friday.
Remember that time goes by quickly. You may need to save money to buy a gift or a treat, but the rising cost of goods and services means you can’t afford it. If you want to buy something on this big day, the payment from your retirement plan or your SSDI check might come in handy.
Social Security payments in November before Black Friday
The Administration has scheduled the November payments for those who:
- Got benefits before May 1997
- Are also receiving SSI benefits apart from Social Security
November 1 is the date that the Social Security Administration has set for people who started getting retirement or SSDI benefits before May 1997. Yes, it’s not due on November 3 because that’s a bank holiday.
People who get Supplemental Security Income on November 1 will also get their Social Security payment from the 3rd on November 1. This is because the payment has been moved to November 1. Of course, you had to also apply for retirement or SSDI payments in order to get two checks. Not just this group will get paid before Black Friday.
Other Social Security payments before Black Friday after November 1
For retirees or people who get SSDI, the Agency has set up three payouts for the second, third, or fourth Wednesday in November. That’s why the paychecks are due on November 13, 20, and 27.
