Richmond volleyball can't even play Union Pines in a match

CAMERON —The Richmond Senior High School volleyball team lost a close game Tuesday in another tough match.

In more Sandhills Athletic Conference games, the Lady Raiders lost 3-0 at Union Pines High School on the road.

The Richmond team couldn’t win a set, but they did keep the scores close. The scores in each set were 18-25, 21-25, and 16-25.

The Lady Raiders have now lost twice this season to the Lady Vikings (11-6, 5-4). Richmond has only won one of its last ten games.

For the Lady Raiders (6-12, 2-8 SAC), Thursday is senior night. They will honour their three players before their home game against Lee County High School (10-6, 4-5 SAC).

Around 5:45 p.m., the ritual before the game will begin. The game will then begin.

JV Lady Raiders force third set

Tuesday, the Richmond junior varsity volleyball team made it to a third set, but they couldn’t win.

The JV Lady Raiders also lost 2-1 at Union Pines, which was on the road. The scores in each set were 18–25, 25–17, and 8–15.

Thursday, the JV Lady Raiders (7-10, 4-6 SAC) will also host Lee County. The first serve is at 5 p.m.
