The famous band Embers played the last show in the 2024 Plaza Jam summer series on Thursday night at Cole Plaza. Lead singer Craig Woolard kept the crowd jumping.
A lot of the band’s old hits were on the set list, along with covers of songs by the Tams (who had played the month before), the Catalinas, the Impressions, and Journey.
Before the band came on, Rockingham Councilwoman Denise Sullivan greeted everyone and talked about the other shows for the 2025 season:
- May 1 – The Entertainers
- June 5 – Too Much Sylvia
- July 3 – The Tones
- Aug. 7 – Chocolate Chip and Company
- Sept. 4 – The Tams
- Oct. 2 – The Embers
Next year will be the 22nd year in a row that the Tams have been in the series.
