In Horry County over the weekend, a man from North Carolina is accused of getting into a home and shooting a person twice. He is now in jail.

WMBF News got records on Monday that show David Grice, 60, of Nakina was taken late Friday night. Among the charges against him are attempted murder, first-degree robbery, and driving while impaired.

For warrants, Grice is accused of going into the victim’s home on Highway 348 and killing them twice. The victim also said that Grice accused them of giving his son drugs that killed him earlier that day, which is written in the warrants.

It is said that Grice shot the person in the arm and chest.

Police also say they found Grice near the road, with his car in a ditch. He was later caught driving while drunk and arrested by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. According to the papers, a search turned up a prescription bag with a name and address that matched the place where the killing happened.

Grice has been at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center since Friday, according to records, and no bond has been set.
