The four prisoners who got away from the Chesterfield County Detention Center on October 14 are all now being held.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office says that De’Shawn Fox and Kyonne McLeod, the last two prisoners who got away, were caught by the Darlington Police Department on Friday, October 25.
Both Fox and McLeod are being charged with trespassing, fighting arrest, and having marijuana on them. The Darlington County Detention Center is where they are being held right now.
Deputies arrested a woman who they thought was helping the prisoners get away. They charged her with helping non-fatal prisoners escape from jail.
Emanuel Planco, Anton Bennett, Kyonne McLeod, and De’Shawn Fox were all wanted for breaking out of jail and other crimes.
Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater said that the jail didn’t have enough staff when the prisoners got out by using an air vent.
It took about six hours for anyone to notice that the men were missing.
Plansco was caught in Richland County, South Carolina, on the same day that Bennett was caught in Halifax County, North Carolina. Officials say that deputies there charged him with failing to stop for blue lights and sirens, careless driving, having a stolen car, grand theft, burglary in the first degree, and financial transaction card theft.
The sheriff’s office said it’s continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the escape.
