“It makes me happy, it makes me emotional but it’s happy emotions, like because for me to inspire somebody else, that’s great…” Tiffany Marshall stated.
Tiffany and her two children, including her special-needs son, have been living in a neighboring motel since their mobile home was destroyed.
“I went from [my life flashing before my eyes] to us being back stable and we okay, so like, I’m more than blessed…” Marshall stated.
But on Saturday, they opened the doors to their new home, thanks to firms like Interim Healthcare of Augusta and others.
“They only gave her four nights in the hotel, and of course, because we know them and help them, and we’re working with them, we weren’t going to just say, ‘Oh, well, sorry.'” We raised private funds and launched a GoFundMe campaign. Carrie Lumley of Interim Health Care explained.
Marshall informs me that she doesn’t know how she would have done it on her own.
“It means a lot to have someone in my corner, assisting and supporting me. Because doing things by myself is difficult. So, having them in my corner is fantastic because some days I’m not sure what I’d do without them.”
She says her and her family’s new house is more than she could have asked for, and she’s grateful for what she considers a blessing.
This is a large house; my daughter adores it, and when I rolled my kid in here, he was beaming from ear to ear. Like, we adore it.”
“She is my hero and the most amazing mother I know. “She’s a fiercely devoted mother and a powerful individual… Lumley spoke.
“It’s, it’s so much that I’m thankful for right now…” Marshall stated.
With a new home comes the need for furnishings; if you’d like to give, here’s a list of items: Two bed sets, a recliner, a dining room set, pots, an air fryer, a toaster, plates, cutlery, and more.
Additionally, you can donate at the Interim Healthcare Office on Broad Street.
