A driver was hurt after colliding with a tree near Aberdeen

In Aberdeen, a single-car accident hurt one driver and destroyed his pickup truck. Two different police departments are now investigating. A crash happened at the corner of Roseland Road and Park Drive just before 2 p.m., and emergency crews were called.

According to the police at the scene, the accident happened when the truck went off the road and hit a tree head-on.

Police were called to another incident at Wilder Avenue and Park Drive, just a few blocks away, while first responders worked at the scene. People who were there said they saw a pickup truck speeding through the area, hitting a fence and a stop sign before driving off.

The truck that was involved in the accident on Roseland Road fit the description of the car. The car may have been involved in not one but two accidents in Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon, according to the police.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional by 911. We don’t know what’s wrong with him right now.

People are not yet being charged, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aberdeen Police Department are both looking into both accidents.
