2 Checks on The Same Payday for Eligible Married Couples: Social Security Confirms Payment Schedule for November

2 Checks on The Same Payday for Eligible Married Couples Social Security Confirms Payment Schedule for November

The Social Security Administration has announced when people who get SSI and retirees will get their November checks. Some American recipients got all of their monthly checks in October, so they need to start getting ready for the November payments.

People who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will get their next check or direct deposit on November 1. Some of these people are couples, so their payment is bigger than if they were single. These couples may also be able to get Social Security when they retire.

Couples on SSI and Social Security

SSI and retirement benefits are what we’re talking about, but married couples who get SSDI (disability benefits) may also be in this situation because they can get both on the same paycheck.

If you are married and qualified for SSI, you will get your payment on November 1. Also, if you get Social Security, your payment date will be November 1.

On November 1, people will be able to get SSI and retirement (or SSDI) benefits. There’s no real difference between being single or married, of course. You may have to pay more each month if you are married and on SSI, though.

Payment amounts for Social Security and SSI in November

Just so you know, the 2025 COLA raise will not be part of the November payments. SSI recipients must wait until December 31 for this boost, and retirement benefits users must wait until January 3, 8, 15, or 22.

People who are retired get an average of $1,920 a month, while people who get SSDI get an average of only $1,539 a month. People who get SSI could get an average of $698. But people 65 and older only get $575 a month on average.

It’s important to remember that partners of workers who have retired or become disabled may also be able to get Social Security payments. So, they can add more money to their budget every month.

  • Average payment for spouses of retired workers: $909
  • Average payment for spouses of workers with a disability: $421
