Weak rainfall in WV, KY, and OH due to tropical system

Area is in the path of a tropical system that inundated sections of North Carolina, but StormTracker 13 meteorologists do not expect substantial accumulation.

Over the course of Sunday and Monday, the storm dropped more than 20 inches of rain on areas of North Carolina close to Wilmington.

Low pressure centers are referred to as cyclones, and the weather system was named “potential tropical cyclone” since it never fully developed into a tropical storm. The ensuing center of low pressure is shifting northwestward.

In the 13 News region, showers are possible starting early on Tuesday and continuing until mid-afternoon on Thursday. We do not, however, anticipate significant accumulations. Less than an inch of rain is predicted by current weather models, which is insufficient to lessen the effects of the drought.

Also, the weather is going to get hot and dry again starting Friday, with highs back in the upper 80s.
