Captain Randy Dover of the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office says that a 58-year-old woman is getting better after being hit in the head with a gun during a break-in at her home in the Hasty area of Scotland County.
Dover said a guy robbed the woman and took over $700 in cash, as well as her prescription drugs and cell phone.
The woman is fine, he said, but shocked by what happened.
Dover said that Patrick Terry, who is 31 years old, has been charged with first-degree burglary, assault and battery, felony theft, and attack by pointing a gun.
Terry has a $200,000 bond and is being held at the Scotland County Detention Center.
