There is a payment called Supplemental Security Income, or SSI. These checks are issued by Social Security, but they are paid for by the federal government. Not everyone who needs this money is poor and at least 65 years old, has a disease, or is blind.
The Social Security payment schedule showed that two SSI payouts will come in the same month, this time November. So, let’s look at what it means for people who are qualified.
Social Security scheduled 2 SSI direct deposits for November
People who get Supplemental Security Income get 12 payments a year. In other words, each person will only get one check or direct payment each month. There are, however, times when there are no payments for a month. The only reason for this is that SSI funds are sent out on the first of every month.
If this payday is on a weekend or a government holiday, it needs to be sent out the business day before. It always happens on the last day of the month before because it needs to be moved from the first of the month to the day before.
That means it is possible for Social Security to make two payments one month and none the next. Still, there will only be one check a month, so there won’t be any extra money or a bonus.
SSI payment dates for November and possible amounts
Supplemental Security Income will be sent by the Social Security Administration on November 1. In other words, this is your November check or direct payment. The check for December will be sent on November 29, though.
- Supplemental Security Income payment on October 1
- Supplemental Security Income payment on November 1
- Supplemental Security Income payment on November 29 (for December)
That being said, SSI recipients can get up to $943 if they are people. Married people who qualify can get up to $1,415. People who are essential can get a smaller payment of up to $472.
