Millions of people who get money from the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will get their checks on October 1. This help, which is run by the Social Security Administration, is for people with serious disabilities that make it hard for them to work and make money.
SSI Payment
The payments for single candidates can go as high as $943 per month. Up to $1,415 can be given to couples who apply together. Also, people who live with crippled people and help them with their daily tasks will get up to $472. These people are called “essential persons.”
Because of inflation, these numbers have been changed by 3.2% since last year.
SSI is not the same as regular Social Security. This is important to remember. In other words, just because someone gets Social Security benefits doesn’t mean they instantly get SSI benefits, and the other way around too.
People who already get SSI and want to know how much they will get next month can use a tool from the Social Security Administration.
