It was announced by the Social Security Administration that people who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will not be getting any more payments until the end of the year. The way the payments are set up, these people will get four SSI checks over the next three months.
As September comes to a close, the Social Security Administration is getting ready to send out more SSI payouts on October 1. This month, recipients did not receive any benefits.
Remember that people who get money from this program are always paid on the first of the month, unless that day is a holiday or the weekend. SSI payment dates are confirmed and one comes with an increase
The Social Security Administration, which is in charge of four different programs, has made a yearly calendar so that all recipients can see when they will get their payments. A lot of people get money from the Retirement, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (RSDI) program.
The date of payment depends on which program the person qualified for, when they started getting benefits, and their date of birth. Based on this Social Security payment schedule, the following times show when claimants will get their next four SSI payments:

One of these four SSI payments will include the new cost of living adjustment (COLA) rise. Given that January 1 is a holiday, the Social Security Administration will move this payment to December 31, which is the next work day. So, this year, people who get SSI will get a monthly check that already has the COLA raise in it.
Don’t forget that people who want these payments must first show that they earn less than $1,941 a month and meet the Social Security Administration’s standards for assets and resources. At the moment, if you are a single person and want to claim, you have to show that your assets are less than $2,000, or $3,000 if you are married.
Aside from these limits on assets and resources, all applicants must meet Social Security’s strict financial requirements. Those seeking disability benefits must also meet the program’s strict medical requirements. A lot of SSI disability requests are usually turned down because of the strict rules for who can get it.
Because of this, petitions that are legally flawed are often turned down because the applicant has too many assets or too much income to be eligible.
The state disability determination organizations then get the rest of the medical review applications. About 40% of people who applied for SSI between 2018 and 2020 were found to be qualified. How much money will beneficiaries receive in the upcoming SSI payments?
People who get SSI payments in 2024 can choose from different payment amounts. Each person gets a check every month based on how they filed their taxes and how much money they make. A person can get up to $943 and an average of $698 if they file as an individual and meet the rules about money.
Couples who meet the standards for income and resources can also get up to $1,415 a month, and everyone who meets the criteria for an essential person (EP) can get an extra $472 a month. In the end, if the 2.5% COLA increase goes into force, SSI recipients will get the following amounts in payments on December 31st:
