Many people in California who are qualified for SNAP or Cal Fresh will soon be getting their payments. Some people who get Food Stamps may already have money on their EBT cards, but others are still waiting.
From September 1st to September 10th, California gives out Cal Fresh. This means that SNAP recipients still have five paychecks left. You can see the highest amounts down below.
Cal Fresh (SNAP) eligibility in September
If you don’t remember your SNAP case number, look it up. Next, see if the last number in your case number is a 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. In California, those are the only Food Stamp funds left for the month.
- To get benefits, your case number must end in 6. This will happen on September 6.
- If your case number ends in 7, you’ll get your benefits on the seventh of every month.
- If your case number ends in 8, you will get your benefits on the eighth of the month.
- If the case number ends in 9, the payments will start on the 9th of the month.
- If your case number ends in 0, you can start getting benefits on the 10th of the month.
In October, people whose case number ends in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 will get money. They already got their money in September, so this is why. They can still use it if they’ve already spent it.
Cal Fresh (SNAP) payment amounts
To get Food Stamps, you will need to show proof of your family size and income. If your family has more than one person, you may get more money from Cal Fresh.
You can get up to $291 a month in SNAP benefits if you are single and live in one of the 48 contiguous states or the District of Columbia. As a result, this is also the most that a person in California can earn. After the 2025 COLA increase, these numbers will be a little higher in October.
