After three weeks of competition, the 2024 North Carolina high school season will conclude with more spectacular shows.

Throughout the season, a Player of the Week will be selected by SBLive/SI. Here are Week 3’s ten nominees.

There are no prizes for winning the voting, unless specified. Our main goal is to showcase the skills and achievements of every player and squad that is part of our survey.

On Sunday, September 15, at 11:59 p.m., voting will end. The poll the next week will reveal the winner. These are the nominations for this week:

Tyshaun Goldston, Randleman

The senior wide receiver, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, caught 9 passes for 174 yards and 3 scores in Randleman’s 35-21 win over Bunker Hill. Charlotte has made Goldston an offer to go to college.

Zach Lawrence, Butler

One of South Carolina’s best teams beat Butler by one point in overtime, but Butler didn’t win. It took 17 of 23 for Lawrence, a Massachusetts commit, to throw for 271 yards and a score. He also scored a touchdown while running.

Braydon Rediger, Marvin Ridge

The Mavericks’ quarterback was amazing. He threw five touchdowns to help his team come back from being down 21 points to beat Ardrey Kell 42–35. The 6-foot-4 senior completed 18 out of 27 passes, gaining 327 yards.

Jackson Debe, Providence

Providence beat Hunter Huss 56–27, and Debe was almost perfect. In the first half, the junior quarterback completed 11 out of 12 passes, gaining 230 yards and scoring 5 scores. Debe has been accepted to seven colleges, such as Boston College and East Carolina.

Jeremiah Whitaker, Alexander Central

The Cougars beat North Iredell 28–19 thanks to big plays all night by Whitaker. The tailback junior ran 13 times for 216 yards and 3 scores. In the fourth quarter, they scored two goals.

Bryce Baker, East Forsyth

The quarterback, who has committed to North Carolina, completed 29 out of 38 passes for 482 yards and 5 scores as the Eagles beat A.C. Reynolds 49–14. Baker ran for a touchdown too.

Anthony Goswick, Union Pines

Goswick threw three touchdowns and ran for a touchdown from 39 yards out as the Vikings beat Western Harnett 45-0.

Tylik Mitchell, Southern Nash

The fast tailback only touched the ball a few times, but he was exciting as the Firebirds beat Fike 58–24. Mitchell ran 8 times for 269 yards and 3 scores in the first half. He has a 10.7-second 100-meter dash time. Two of the touchdowns went 71 and 69 yards, respectively. Mitchell got 293 yards in the end.

Demond Williams, West Columbus

Williams had a great game as the Vikings beat West Bladen 42-8. He scored four scores in four different ways. The junior, who is 5 feet 11 inches tall, returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown, picked off a pass 38 yards away, returned a punt 54 yards for a touchdown, and caught a touchdown pass 35 yards away.

Tareavion Mingo, White Oak

Southwest Onslow lost 30–8 to White Oak as Mingo ran 28 times for 186 yards and three scores.
