New SNAP benefit amounts: Up to $3,516 in 11 days’ worth of food stamps

New SNAP benefit amounts Up to $3,516 in 11 days' worth of food stamps

After COLA, SNAP payments usually go up. But there are times when this isn’t true, like in Hawaii. After the 2025 COLA, this state will get less money in benefits. In the same way as the 2024 COLA.

If you qualified for the most money, you could get up to $1,756 if your family has eight people. Food Stamps can be worth up to $292 if you are a single person. You can get up to $975 for a family of four. Still, SNAP payouts in Alaska can be as high as $3,516 if you live in an area called Rural 2 with 8 people.

SNAP benefit payments from October 1, 2024

No matter what state you live in, you may get your Food Stamps early or late in the month. All of the money will be sent at the same time from states like Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island, and North Dakota. If you live there, check your EBT on October 1 to see how much more you get.

Other changes in October for some SNAP recipients

When October comes around, Food Stamps will be different in more ways than one. People aged 53 and 54 will have to follow the same rules as people aged 18 to 52. The time limit and Able-Body Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD) are what this rule is about.

The age range for Americans on SNAP benefits has changed from 18 to 52 to 18 to 54. They will now have to work at least 80 hours a month to keep getting benefits for more than three months in a three-year period.

So, if that sounds like you, you should learn everything you can about these unique work rules. If you have a disability, are pregnant, are a soldier, or were in foster care, among other things, you may not have to pay.
