N.C. woman is charged of running a bar in Pee Dee without a license to serve alcohol

A woman from North Carolina is in trouble with the law because she was running a bar in the Pee Dee without a license.

Police from Dillon County and the State of Montana were called to The Whiskey Barn on Highway 9 West because of complaints from people in the area.

Over the weekend, undercover police went to the bar and found that Kimberly Oxendine, 41, of Maxton was selling alcohol and beer without a license.

Deputies and agents searched the bar with a warrant and took all of the booze that was kept there.

Agents from SLED nabbed Oxendine and charged her with not getting a beer and wine permit, illegally storing or having alcohol, and illegally selling alcoholic drinks.

She was taken to the Dillon County Detention Center and checked in.
