The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s drawing has grown to about $77 million, and the cash choice is worth $38.5 million.
The winning numbers were: 29, 46, 53, 69 and 70. The Mega Ball drawn was 23, with a Megaplier of 2X.
The $62 million jackpot on Tuesday was not won by anyone in the country, but eight second-prize tickets were sold that matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
Because the winner paid an extra $1 for the Megaplier option, a ticket purchased in Michigan is worth $5 million.
One million dollar ticket was bought in Tennessee, one in Louisiana, one in Missouri, one in New York, and one in Pennsylvania. The New York ticket was bought at Ali New York Convenience on First Avenue in Manhattan. The Pennsylvania ticket, on the other hand, was bought at Pantry 1 Food Mart on Chester Pike in Crum Lynne, Delaware County.
The numbers that won on Tuesday were 1, 6, 10, 23, and 27. Five times the Mega Ball’s value, which was 18.
Every Tuesday and Friday, 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands hold Mega Millions draws.
There are 302,575,350 to 1 odds that a $2 ticket will win the Mega Millions prize if it matches five numbers and the Mega Ball. One in 12,607,306 tickets will match five numbers but not the Mega Ball, giving the winner at least $1 million. It’s 931,001 to 1 that you’ll match all four numbers plus the Mega Ball and win at least $10,000.
